MV Arethusa

MV Arethusa is currently owned and operated by GCCL-Grand Circle Cruise Line. Like her sistership Artemis, she has a maximum passenger capacity of 52 and is equipped with modern navigation and communication systems compliant with IMO safety requirements. The shipowner is Grand Circle Corporation via its subsidiary Grand Circle Travel USA, a Boston MA-based travel agency.

The cruise ship Arethusa is a megayacht-type passenger vessel (IMO number 9398022) designed to carry two small groups of 20–25 guests, each accompanied by a dedicated Program Director.

Cruise itinerary program

MV Arethusa’s schedule features Mediterranean itineraries visiting ports along the Italian Riviera (Ligurian Riviera) and the French Riviera (Côte d’Azur), as well as voyages to smaller islands. Departures are typically from the homeport of Cannes, France.

Cabins

Arethusa has 26 staterooms, including 24 doubles and 2 singles. All cabins feature identical en-suite bathrooms (WC, shower, single-sink vanity) and moveable twin beds convertible to a queen-size configuration. Upper and Main Deck cabins are fitted with two convertible twin beds, while Lower Deck cabins are equipped with one twin bed for single occupancy. Additional amenities include individually controlled air conditioning, flat-screen TV (satellite reception), electronic safe (in the closet), direct-dial phone (intercom), hairdryer, mini-bar (refrigerator) and dual power outlets.

Shipboard facilities and amenities

Complimentary beverages—including bottled water, tea, coffee, soft drinks, premium spirits and selected fine wines—are available throughout the vessel. Arethusa has one dining room (single-seating, unassigned), offering vegetarian, wellness-focused and special dietary meals upon request. Public spaces include a comfortable bar lounge and a spacious Sun Deck with unobstructed views. All onboard announcements are made in English. Gratuities are included in the cruise fare.
