Scenic Gem

The Scenic Gem boat cruises on the Seine River, departing from Paris (France) and visiting Honfleur (located across from Le Havre). The Scenic Tours cruise line also offers combined (back-to-back) itineraries with included TGV (high-speed train) travel from Paris to Bordeaux for embarking on the second leg of the B2B river cruise itinerary. This second part includes a Garonne River cruise from Bordeaux on the Scenic Diamond ship. Scenic's France cruise fares are inclusive of hotel packages.

Scenic Gem was launched in 2014. The ship is one of the smallest vessels in the Scenic Cruises fleet, but still among the company's newest "Space Ship" class vessels.

Cabins

A signature feature of all Scenic "Space Ships" is the cabin balconies called “Sun Lounges”. These are outdoor terraces that easily convert into indoor lounge areas. They are called so because they provide generous in-cabin and public space. A standout feature is the "Sun Lounge" balcony design, which makes the staterooms feel larger while allowing the balcony to be used even in inclement weather. All meals, drinks (except French Champagne and the highest-end liquors), excursions, butler service, and Internet are included in the fare. Additional amenities include television-Mac computers in every cabin, glass-enclosed showers, L'Occitane products, and plush bathrobes. Scenic Gem has a total of 63 cabins in 12 grades.

• More than 80% of the accommodations feature full-size balconies. Every room has a “Scenic Slumber Bed” (queen-size) with fine linens and a pillow menu. Junior and Royal Suites offer butler service.

Shipboard facilities

Scenic Gem restaurants include Crystal Restaurant, Portobellos (Italian), Riverview Terrace (al fresco), and Table la Rive (Gem Deck, for Suite passengers only). The ship also features a Panorama Lounge, River Cafe, Wellness Centre (Gym and Spa), shop, and elevator (connecting all cabin decks). Shore excursions included in Scenic Gem cruise fares feature visits to museums, architectural landmarks, and historical sites, as well as walking and biking tours in every port along the itinerary. Scenic's GPS devices, binoculars, and bicycles allow guests to explore ashore independently.

Scenic river cruise deals are among the industry's most all-inclusive. Even the drinks in the cabins' mini-bars are complimentary.
