Movenpick MS Prince Abbas

MS Prince Abbas cruises on Lake Nasser in Egypt, with itineraries departing from Aswan and Abu Simbel. This large, top-luxury riverboat (floating hotel) features a restaurant, library, bar lounges, wellness facilities (spa and gym), and a Sun Deck with a swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Prince Abbas cruises can also be booked through the European travel company Uniworld.

The hotel ship Prince Abbas is owned by Movenpick Group and operated by its subsidiary, Movenpick Hotels and Resorts Egypt.

The shipowner, Movenpick Group (founded in 1973 and headquartered in Baar, Switzerland), is a joint venture between Movenpick Holding (66.7%) and Kingdom Holding Company (Saudi Arabia, 33.3%). Movenpick operates around 110 hotels, resorts, and Nile cruise ships.

MS Prince Abbas’ fleetmates (Movenpick-owned Nile cruisers) include SS Misr (steamship), Darakum, Hamees, MS Sun Ray, MS Royal Lotus, MS Royal Lily, and SB Feddya.

Cabins

The ship offers 65 staterooms, including junior and royal suites. All are spacious, elegantly furnished, and equipped with private bathrooms offering panoramic Lake Nasser views. Deluxe cabins feature two twin beds and measure 22 m² (237 ft²). Each cabin includes individually controlled air conditioning, an en-suite shower room, television, minibar, and telephone with international calling via GSM lines.

Shipboard facilities and amenities

Other onboard facilities include a full-service bar, an elegant shaded restaurant, and a billiard room. Guests can explore the magnificent temples and tombs of ancient Egypt and deepen their understanding of the country’s rich history.
