MS Scenic Diamond cruises in France (on the Garonne River), departing from the homeport Bordeaux. The Scenic Tours cruise line also offers combined itinerary departures from Paris City. These include TGV (high-speed train) travel from Paris to Bordeaux. The itinerary's second leg includes a Seine River cruise from Paris on the Scenic Gem ship. Scenic Diamond was launched in 2008 as one of Scenic Cruises' popular “Space Ships”. Scenic's “Space Ship” class design offers spacious cabins and public areas, as well as one of the highest passenger space ratios in the industry. A signature feature of all Scenic Cruises “Space Ships” is their cabin balconies called “Sun Lounges”. These are outdoor terraces that can easily convert into indoor lounge areas.

Shipboard facilities

Scenic Diamond restaurants include Crystal Restaurant, Portobellos (Italian), Riverview Terrace (al fresco), and Table La Rive (Diamond Deck, for Suite passengers only). There is also a Panorama Lounge, River Cafe, Wellness Centre (Gym and Spa), onboard shop, and an elevator connecting all cabin decks. On all price-inclusive Scenic cruise tours and excursions ashore, guests receive GPS tracking devices (called ScenicTailorMade) with uploaded digital maps. These also function as listening devices for live narration by the line's local expert tour guides during group excursions. Binoculars and bicycles are also provided complimentary to help guests fully enjoy the scenery along the itinerary.

Scenic river cruise deals are among the industry's most all-inclusive. All meals, drinks (except French Champagne and the highest-end liquors), excursions, butler service, and Internet are included in the fares. Even the drinks in cabin mini-bars are complimentary.
