Scenic Spirit

The 2016-built RV Scenic Spirit cruise ship is currently deployed on the Mekong River in Vietnam and Cambodia (Southeast Asia). The riverboat’s itinerary program offers Mekong cruises departing from homeports Siem Reap, Hanoi and Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). She is the first of two vessels in the Scenic Cruises' fleet operating in Asia, the second being her sistership Scenic Aura (deployed on the Irrawaddy River in Myanmar/Burma).

The riverboat Scenic Spirit was constructed at the 76 Shipyard in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam).

Decks and Cabins

The Scenic Spirit ship has 34 staterooms (in 8 Suite grades) and 5 passenger decks (3 with cabins).

All staterooms feature floor-to-ceiling sliding doors that open to a full-size veranda (down-slide-opening French Balcony) furnished with a round table and wicker chairs.

Cabin categories include RS-Royal Panorama Suite (x2, Deck 4), RD-Grand Deluxe Suite (x8, Deck 4), and A, B, BA, BB, C, CA (x24, Decks 2, 3, and 4).

Shipboard facilities

The ship features two restaurants and several gourmet dining venues (Crystal Dining, Portobellos /Italian, Riverview Terrace /alfresco, Table la Rive /Diamond Deck, for Suite passengers only), a spacious top deck with a served terrace and shaded seating area, Panorama Lounge, River Cafe, Gym and Spa facilities, a swimming pool, and one elevator connecting all cabin decks. On all price-inclusive Scenic cruise tours and excursions ashore, guests receive GPS tracking devices (called ScenicTailorMade) with uploaded digital maps. These also function as listening devices for live narration by the line’s local expert tour guides provided during group excursions. Binoculars and bicycles are also provided complimentary to fully enjoy the scenery along the itinerary route.

• The 22-day "Essence of Vietnam, Cambodia & Luxury Mekong Cruise" itinerary offers Mekong Delta cruises from Hanoi to Siem Reap and in the reverse direction from Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) to Hanoi. Deals are price-inclusive of all tours and excursions, Hanoi and Saigon luxury hotel packages, a Halong Bay boat cruise, and flights. The sailing portion is 7 days.
• The 17-day "Highlights of Vietnam, Cambodia & Mekong Cruise" itinerary runs from Hanoi to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), with embarkation in Siem Reap.
• The 7-day "Luxury Mekong Cruise" itinerary covers the sailing route from Vietnam to Cambodia (Saigon to Siem Reap) and in the reverse direction. There are 6 complimentary tours and excursions, and all flights are included in the price. Hotel packages are optional and not included in these fares.

Scenic river cruise deals are among the industry's most all-inclusive. All meals, drinks (except French Champagne and the highest-end liquors), excursions, butler service, and Internet are included in the fares. Even the drinks in the cabins' mini-bars are complimentary. Scenic Tours has invested USD 7.5 million in the 22-suite river cruise ship Scenic Spirit, built at Burma's Upland Shipyard in Rangoon.

Scenic Spirit cruise deals include Internet (Wi-Fi), all tours and excursions, ground transfers, hotel stays, gratuities, port taxes, and all beverages consumed onboard (coffee, tea, bottled water, and soft drinks). River cruise fares also include alcohol—wine and beer served at lunch and dinner, as well as cocktails and liquor available at the ship's bars.
