MS VIVA Enjoy Review

Review of MS VIVA Enjoy

The 2024-built/2025-launched MS VIVA Enjoy cruise ship is the third VIVA-class riverboat owned by the Swiss company Scylla AG (shipowner) and chartered to its German subsidiary and travel brand VIVA Cruises.

VIVA Enjoy operates on the Danube and is currently homeported in Vienna, Austria.

Her sisterships entered service in April 2022 (VIVA One, on the Rhine River) and in March 2023 (VIVA Two).

VIVA One, VIVA Two, and VIVA Enjoy are the first newbuilds ordered specifically for Scylla’s travel brand VIVA Cruises.

MS VIVA Enjoy cruise ship (VIVA Cruises Scylla)

The vessel (ENI number 07002216) is Switzerland-flagged (MMSI 269057075) and registered in Basel.

The ship’s name reflects VIVA Cruises’ brand motto, “Enjoy the Moment”.

Like her sisterships, VIVA Enjoy is fitted with 76 solar panels (mounted on the Sun Deck) supporting the vessel’s electrical system.

Decks and Cabins

MS VIVA Enjoy has 4 passenger decks and a total of 95 staterooms accommodating 190 passengers.

All staterooms are outside cabins, with most measuring 14 m² (150 ft²).

Cabins feature double beds (convertible to twins/lower singles), deluxe bedding (linens, pillows, duvets), bedside tables, wall-mounted reading lamps, wardrobe, mirrored vanity table/writing desk with chair, sofa chair (near the window), Nespresso machine, full bathroom (glass-wall shower, WC, LED-mirrored washbasin/on-top sink vanity, RITUALS bath products), hairdryer, smart HDTV (satellite/infotainment), complimentary minibar, phone (intercom/onboard calls only), electronic safe (in the closet) and individually controlled air conditioning.

Deck 1 (Emerald) cabins have two fixed quarter-height windows located near the ceiling. Deck 2 (Ruby) and Deck 3 (Diamond) cabins are French Balcony staterooms with floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors opening to a railing (false balcony). The ship has eight Suites (midship on Deck 3), also with French balconies, but larger at 24 m² (260 ft²).

One midship passenger elevator (Lift) connects all cabin decks. Staircases provide access throughout the ship. A stairlift connects Decks 3 and 4 (Sun Deck).

Shipwide Wi-Fi is complimentary. Laundry service is available for a fee.

Shipboard Facilities and Amenities

VIVA Enjoy offers three dining venues (two complimentary, one specialty surcharge venue): the Riverside Restaurant (forward Dining Room on Deck 2), Viva’s Bistro (aft lounge/restaurant on Deck 3) and Moments Restaurant (forward on Deck 1, surcharge applies, reservations required).

The Riverside Restaurant offers single-seating capacity, open seating and flexible dining times. Viva’s Bistro requires dinner reservations and serves lunch and dinner (including themed buffets) and operates as a bar lounge during the day. The Bistro features a small wraparound terrace with stern views. Two outdoor staircases connect Viva’s Bistro to the Sun Deck’s pool area (Jacuzzi).

On Diamond Deck is the Lobby area with two entrances (port and starboard), a 24-hour Reception Desk, Travel Desk (Tour Office), and a Boutique (Gift Shop).

The wellness complex (on Deck 1/Emerald) includes a Fitness Room, Hair & Nail Salon, Spa (Massage Room), Infrared Sauna and Steam Bath.

The Sun Deck features the Wheelhouse (Navigation Bridge), five retractable awnings (shaded seating with loungers and deckchairs), a forward Alfresco Lounge (full bar service from the Panorama Lounge below), an aft games area (Putting Green mini-golf) and a Jacuzzi (spa pool with showers). Near the Wheelhouse are stored electric bikes available for complimentary rental (limited quantity).

The fore-located Panorama Bar Lounge (on Ruby Deck) has floor-to-ceiling windows, comfortable seating (tables, sofas, armchairs), a dance floor and grand piano for live afternoon and evening performances. Daily entertainment includes live music (resident pianist), cooking demonstrations, quizzes, bingo, crew shows, themed dance nights, enrichment lectures and itinerary-related media presentations.

From the Panorama Bar, guests can access the bow Lido Terrace, an outdoor lounge with limited seating and a wraparound glass windbreak. Two stairways connect the Terrace directly to the Alfresco Lounge above on the Sun Deck.

The Riverside Restaurant (Ruby Deck) and Panorama Lounge (Diamond Deck) are linked by an interior Grand Staircase (open-floor design).

All public areas—including wellness, dining, lounge and lobby spaces—feature floor-to-ceiling windows for unobstructed river views.
