SS Beatrice

Uniworld SS Beatrice (formerly "River Beatrice") cruises on the Danube River, with itineraries departing from Budapest Hungary and Passau Germany. Her itinerary program includes 6 routes visiting port cities in Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, and Bulgaria.

Uniworld (officially "Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection") is a major river cruise company and part of The Travel Corporation group.

Following a major drydock refurbishment in 2018, River Beatrice was upgraded to a "Super Ship" and renamed "SS Beatrice," joining Uniworld's Super Ship fleetmates SS Antoinette, SS Catherine, SS Joie de Vivre, SS Maria Theresa, and SS Bon Voyage (formerly River Royale).

Cabins

SS Beatrice has a total of 76 cabins (including 15 Suites) across 7 categories. She was launched in 2009 as the company’s 10th riverboat. All passenger cabins are outside-facing, serviced twice daily, and feature premium bedding (handcrafted UK-made Savoir beds with luxury bedding sets), direct-dial telephone, individual climate control, flat-screen TV, built-in safe, and compact bathrooms with L'Occitane products. All cabins on the Rhine and Danube decks feature French balconies. An elevator connects all decks. A total of 67 staterooms (located on the middle and upper decks) have French balconies. The suites include private balconies and offer additional amenities such as a welcome bottle of wine, daily fruit and cookies, DVD player, larger sitting area, refrigerator, complimentary laundry and shoeshine services, in-cabin dining (continental breakfast, morning tea and coffee service), and a special Captain's Dinner.

Shipboard facilities

SS Beatrice features a Main Lounge (with a dance floor and full-service bar), Captain's Lounge & Library (also with a full-service bar), Sun Deck (with chessboard and shuffleboard), Serenity Spa, Fitness Center, 24-hour specialty tea and coffee station, laundry facilities, 24-hour reception, and complimentary Internet and Wi-Fi access.

On selected voyages, guests can participate in the Epicurean Adventurer Program, which includes a special food-and-wine pairing dinner and a shore excursion featuring private wine tasting. The ship’s specialty coffee bar operates 24 hours a day. Cruises focus on exploration, cultural enrichment, and guided excursions. Nordic walking sticks and bicycles are available for shore activities, and family-friendly programs are offered on select departures.

River Beatrice cruise fares are per person, based on double occupancy, and are indicative only. Actual prices may vary depending on booking conditions, travel agency promotions, special offers, group bookings, or last-minute deals. Uniworld also offers air-inclusive cruise packages and pre- and post-cruise hotel extensions at an additional cost.

Following the 2018 refurbishment, the vessel features a blue-and-white interior decor scheme, yacht-style light wood finishes, plush furnishings, marble flooring, and original artworks (including pieces by Alexander Calder, Pino Signoretto, and Picasso). The lobby was renovated with mirrored accents, a white Murano-glass chandelier (with blue shades), and a grand staircase made of nickel and black iron. The lounge was redesigned with custom-upholstered seating, upholstered ceiling panels, premium parquet flooring, and USB ports. New staterooms were also added, including two Owner Suites (29 m2 / 310 ft2 each), two Royal Suites (36 m2 / 390 ft2), and connecting staterooms for families and groups.

The ship’s four onboard dining venues include the main restaurant (Mozart’s, themed after Austrian composers), Wolfgang’s bar lounge, and the newly introduced venues on Deck 4—Max’s and Schubert’s. At Max’s Restaurant, chef-led cooking classes are offered. Schubert’s (an 18-seat cafe-style restaurant) is located at the bow and serves shared plates from lunch through dinner.
