Scenic Amber

The Scenic Amber boat cruises on the Danube, Main, and Rhine rivers in Europe. The itineraries visit the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Hungary, and the Czech Republic. Departures are from Amsterdam, Nurnberg (Nuremberg), Budapest, and Prague. Itineraries including Paris (France) are price-inclusive of the flight to or from Amsterdam, Holland.

Scenic Amber is the last vessel in a series of four new-class Scenic Tours ships launched between 2012 and 2016. The boat's fleetmates are Scenic Jade, Scenic Jewel, and Scenic Crystal. These luxury riverboats, along with the 2015-launched ships Scenic Jasper and Scenic Opal, are part of the line's fleet expansion program. This expansion positioned Scenic Cruises among the leading European river passenger cruise lines.

Cabins

All Scenic river cruise ships in Europe operate with all-inclusive deals. These vessels are also nearly one-fifth longer but have smaller guest capacities compared to standard-design riverboats sailing on the major European rivers and inland waterways. This design, patented as "Space-Ships", allows for larger cabins and more spacious public areas. A signature feature of all Scenic Cruises "Space-Ships" is the cabin balconies called “Sun Lounges”. These are outdoor terraces that can easily convert into indoor lounge areas. Scenic Amber has a total of 85 cabins (73 balcony suites) in 16 categories and 4 passenger decks (including two decks fully dedicated to balcony cabins).

Shipboard facilities

Scenic Amber restaurants include Crystal Restaurant, Portobellos (Italian), Riverview Terrace (al fresco), and Table la Rive (Diamond Deck, for Suite passengers only). The ship also features a Panorama Lounge, River Cafe, Wellness Centre (Gym and Spa), shop, elevator (serving all cabin decks), and a spacious top deck with a service terrace and shaded seating area.

On all price-inclusive Scenic cruise tours and shore excursions, guests receive GPS tracking devices (called ScenicTailorMade) with preloaded digital maps. These devices also function as listening units for live narration by the line's local expert tour guides during group excursions. Binoculars and bicycles are provided complimentary so guests can fully enjoy the scenery along the cruise itineraries and land tour routes.

Scenic river cruise deals are among the industry's most all-inclusive. All meals, drinks (except French Champagne and the highest-end liquors), excursions, butler service, and Internet access are included in the fares. Even the drinks in the cabins' mini-bars are complimentary. Scenic Tours cruises traditionally attract travelers from Australia and the UK, with a steadily growing number of guests from the USA, Canada, and Germany. Most passengers are aged 55+, financially comfortable, and well-traveled.

Scenic Amber cruise deals include Internet (Wi-Fi), all tours and excursions, ground transfers, hotel stays, gratuities, port taxes, and all beverages served onboard (coffee, tea, bottled water, and soft drinks). River cruise fares also include alcoholic drinks—wine and beer at lunch and dinner, as well as cocktails and spirits offered at the ship's bars.
