Scenic Aura

The 2016-built RV Scenic Aura cruise ship is currently deployed on the Irrawaddy River in Myanmar/Burma (Southeast Asia). The vessel's itinerary program features Irrawaddy River cruises departing from homeports Mandalay and Pyay-Prome (to/from Yangon-Rangoon). She is the second of two vessels in Scenic Cruises' fleet operating in Asia, the first being the sistership Scenic Spirit (deployed on the Mekong River in Vietnam and Cambodia).

Scenic Tours (aka Scenic Cruises) is one of the industry's most all-inclusive river cruise lines. All meals, drinks (except French Champagne and the highest-end liquor brands), excursions, butler service, and Internet access are included in the cruise fare. Even the mini-bar drinks in the staterooms are complimentary.

The riverboat Scenic Aura was built by Myanma Shipyards (Upland Ship Construction) in Yangon.

Decks and Cabins

The Scenic Aura ship has 22 staterooms (in 7 Suite categories) and 5 passenger decks (3 with cabins).

All staterooms feature floor-to-ceiling sliding doors that open to a full-size veranda (down-slide-opening French Balcony) furnished with a round table and wicker chairs.

Cabin categories include RS-Royal Panorama Suite (x2, Deck 4), RD-Grand Deluxe Suite (x8, Deck 4), and A, B, BA, C, CA (x12, Decks 2-3-4).

Shipboard facilities

Scenic Aura restaurants include Crystal Restaurant, Portobellos (Italian), Riverview Terrace (al fresco), and Table la Rive (Diamond Deck, for Suite passengers only). The ship also features a Panorama Lounge, River Cafe, Wellness Centre (Gym and Spa), swimming pool, shop, an elevator (serving all cabin decks), and a spacious top deck with a service terrace and shaded seating area.

On all price-inclusive Scenic cruise tours and shore excursions, guests receive GPS tracking devices (called ScenicTailorMade) with preloaded digital maps. These devices also function as listening units for live narration by the line's local expert tour guides during group excursions. Binoculars and bicycles are provided complimentary, allowing guests to fully enjoy the scenery along the itinerary route.
