Arosa Flora Review
Review of Arosa Flora
A-Rosa Flora cruises on the Rhine River through Holland, Belgium, and Germany, departing from homeports Amsterdam and Basel. Launched in April 2014 as the fleet’s newest addition, the ship’s inaugural voyage departed on April 10 from Cologne. The themed "Rhine North Tulips" itinerary visited Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Antwerp. Flora’s sistership is A-Rosa Silva.
Cabins
A-Rosa Flora is similar to A-Rosa Silva, but with additional suites to meet the preferences of North American guests. The ship has 91 cabins (including 6 Suites, 54 with French Balconies, and 29 with one or two non-opening windows) across four categories. Notably, Flora was the first in the fleet to feature two family staterooms accommodating four guests. The highest category staterooms are the Balcony Suites—marking the first suite accommodations introduced on A-Rosa ships.
Shipboard Facilities
Onboard dining and entertainment venues include: Market Restaurant (main dining room), Flora Bar, Café Restaurant (casual dining and Afternoon Tea), Wine Bar (regional delicacies), Flora Lounge & Bar (live shows), and the Sun Deck (Bar & Grill, shaded relaxation areas, heated pool, giant chess, mini-golf, putting green). The Flora Atrium serves as the ship's lobby. Notable onboard amenities include a full spa, two saunas, a large gym, and an outdoor pool.
A-Rosa Flora cruise deals include Wi-Fi Internet, guided tours and excursions (including bicycle tours), ground transfers, live onboard entertainment (local performers, enrichment lectures, food and wine tastings), alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, spirits), 24-hour coffee and tea service, and daily replenished bottled water.
Prices are per person based on double occupancy. The listed A-Rosa Flora cruise rates are indicative only and may vary based on booking promotions, discounts, group bookings, or last-minute deals.

Arosa Flora Wiki
As the fleet's newest vessel, A-Rosa Flora belongs to the same class as A-Rosa Silva (2012). Both riverboats are powered by four energy-efficient Volvo Penta diesel engines (model D12-450MH) with a combined output of 1320 kW / 1800 HP. They are also equipped with two auxiliary diesel generators and one additional diesel generator used during in-port operations. Propulsion is provided by a Schottel system, which includes one bow thruster (SPJ 82) and four rudder propellers (STP 200 twin propellers). The ship's wheelhouse/bridge and top deck awnings can be lowered to safely navigate under low bridges.
The A-Rosa Flora riverboat offers complimentary bicycles for use during land tours and excursions at each port of call.
A-Rosa Flora was officially launched on March 30, 2014, in Mainz, Germany. The christening ceremony was led by Godmother Yvonne Catterfeld, a German television actress and singer. Although the ship was completed by the end of November 2013, its launch was strategically postponed. To optimize space at the shipyard, builder Neptune Werft transferred the vessel to Meyer Werft's facility in Papenburg, where it remained until its official delivery.
The riverboat shares its name with the 2019-launched Galapagos expedition cruise ship Celebrity Flora.
