Arosa Silva

A-Rosa Silva cruises on the Danube, Rhine, and Moselle rivers, departing from ports in Austria, Germany, Hungary, and Romania. The riverboat entered service in 2012 and, like all A-Rosa fleetmates, offers all-inclusive cruisetour packages. Silva’s sister ship is A-Rosa Flora.

Cabins

A-Rosa Silva has a total of 91 cabins, including 6 Suites, 54 with French Balconies, and 29 with one or two non-opening windows, across 4 categories. She is built to the line’s newest design, with the most notable difference being the inclusion of six suites in addition to the standard cabin configurations.

Shipboard Facilities

A-Rosa Silva’s dining and lounge venues include: Market Restaurant (main dining room), Silva Bar, Café Restaurant (casual dining and Afternoon Tea), Wine Bar (regional specialties), Silva Lounge & Bar (entertainment venue), and the Sun Deck with bar/grill stations, a pool, shaded observation area, giant chess, and putting green. The Silva Atrium serves as the ship’s lobby area.

The main restaurant is located on Deck Three, adjacent to the Lounge, and offers Mediterranean cuisine with a continental European influence. Signature onboard amenities include an indoor spa (with two saunas, steam room, a spacious gym, and salon), the new Suite-category staterooms, and an open-air swimming pool on the Sun Deck.

A-Rosa Silva cruise packages include Wi-Fi Internet, all shore excursions (including by bicycle), motorcoach transfers, live onboard entertainment (local performers and enrichment lectures), food and wine tastings, alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, spirits), 24-hour coffee and tea, and daily replenished bottled water.

A-Rosa Silva shore excursions are typically themed around food and wine, cultural and historical tours (museums, architecture, old towns), and various sports and leisure activities.

As the first of the line’s two newest vessels, the A-Rosa Silva river cruise ship belongs to the same class as A-Rosa Flora (launched in 2014). Each of these innovative riverboats is powered by four energy-efficient "Volvo Penta" diesel engines (model D12-450MH) with a total output of 1320 kW / 1800 HP. The propulsion system includes two auxiliary diesel generators and one additional diesel generator for in-port operations. The ship features "Schottel" propulsion, including one bow thruster (type SPJ 82) and four rudder propellers (type STP 200 with twin propellers). For navigating under low bridges, the wheelhouse/bridge and top deck awnings can be lowered.

A-Rosa Silva also offers complimentary bicycles for use during land tours and excursions at each visited port.

The ship was launched on July 2, 2012, and christened in Amsterdam (Holland) by Mrs. Sonja Dreisow, wife of Jörg Dreisow—Managing Director of A-Rosa’s majority shareholder, Waterland Private Equity Investments BV, an independent investment group.
