La Nouvelle Etoile barge

Relaunched in 2002, MS La Nouvelle Etoile is an 8-passenger hotel barge (cruise ship) owned by European Waterways. Originally launched in 1964, the vessel was first constructed and operated as a cargo barge for dry bulk shipping. Today, she cruises the waterways and canals of France, Germany, Holland, and Luxembourg.

This ultra-deluxe hotel barge combines spacious cabins, modern amenities, and traditional elegance, complemented by superior service from her professional crew. Onboard facilities include an air-conditioned, teak-floored dining room/bar lounge (with piano and comfortable seating), a Sun Deck (with hot tub, sun loungers, and deckchairs), a small gym, 8 bicycles, and shipwide internet access.

The air-conditioned cabins are equally sized (19 m² / 200 ft²) and feature en-suite bathrooms with double-sink vanities, a double bed, seating area, and HDTV with satellite reception. The crew of 5 consists of a Master Chef, two Housekeepers, a Tour Guide, and the Captain (Master).
