Panache barge Review

Review of Panache barge

MS Le Panache barge is a 12-passenger luxury hotel barge (cruise ship), originally built in 1959 (in Holland) as a dry-bulk cargo barge. In 1998, the vessel was drydock converted into a hotel barge and currently cruises along the inland waterways of France, Holland, and Belgium. Holland’s popular “Tulip Time Cruises” operate in the spring, after which the barge sails through Belgium, passes Paris City, and continues through France’s Champagne region to spend the remainder of the season in Alsace. The vessel (ENI number 14000084) is currently owned and operated by European Waterways.

MS Le Panache barge cruise ship

Panache is a classic Dutch barge cruise ship, furnished in contemporary style to create a charming and comfortable ambiance. Her staterooms (6x Junior Suites) are air-conditioned and feature en-suite bathrooms with oversized showers, massage jets, and double-sink vanities, as well as twin or Queen-size double beds.

The ship’s dining room, with a 12-seat dining table, is part of the salon (bar lounge), which offers comfortable sofas, music, books, and a 24-hour open bar. The forward-located Sun Deck features a Jacuzzi (whirlpool hot tub) and a sunbathing and relaxation area with premium garden loungers and deckchairs. The dining room serves gourmet French cuisine of the highest quality, with meals always presented on fine china and silverware.

MS Panache has a highly professional crew of five, led by an experienced Captain (Master) who ensures a safe and enjoyable cruising vacation through France. Extensive knowledge of the Alsace region, combined with private excursions and 12 bicycles (provided complimentary for shoreside biking), allows passengers to explore the French countryside to their heart’s desire.
