Seven Seas Prestige Review

Review of Seven Seas Prestige

The 2026-built Seven Seas Prestige cruise ship is the newest vessel in RSSC-Regent's PRESTIGE-class series, with sisterships Seven Seas Prestige II (July 2029), Seven Seas Prestige III (2033), and Seven Seas Prestige IV (2036). The ship is currently planned for delivery and inauguration in December 2026.

The vessel (IMO number 1036238) will be France-flagged (MMSI tba) and registered in Majuro/Marshall Islands.

History - construction and ownership

Regent Cruises (officially Regent Seven Seas Cruises / RSSC) is an all-inclusive, top-luxury cruise brand formerly known as "Radisson Seven Seas". Until 2014, the company (as part of "Prestige Cruise Holdings") was owned by Apollo Management LP, one of the world's largest private equity investment funds. Since September 2014, RSSC and sister company Oceania Cruises have been owned by NCL Norwegian (shipowner), acquired for a total cost of USD 3 billion.

Regent cruise ships are medium-sized, with a maximum passenger capacity of around 800 guests. The fleet consists of 6-star-rated, all-suite and all-balcony vessels with a space-to-guest ratio of approximately 70 and a staff-to-guest ratio of 1-to-1.6 (among the best in the industry). In terms of building cost per berth, RSSC liners are among the world's most expensive ships.

The vessel's interior design was developed by the Florida-based firm "Studio DADO". DADO-designed venues include the Starlight Atrium, Observation Lounge, Constellation Theater, Card Room, Connoisseur Club, Pacific Rim Restaurant, and the wellness/Spa complex.

Decks and Cabins

Like all RSSC-Regent ships, Seven Seas Prestige staterooms (total 411) are all suites with private step-out balconies and include several new cabin categories for Regent.

The company's most luxurious accommodation, the Regent Suite, on Seven Seas Prestige will be redesigned and enlarged, becoming the fleet's largest stateroom.

The other suite categories include Signature Suites, Grand Suites, Prestige Suites, Seven Seas Suites, Penthouse Suites, Concierge Suites, Serenity Suites, and Deluxe Veranda Suites.

The ship also introduces several new cabin categories: Skyview Suites (two-level duplex apartments with private rooftop terraces—the fleet's largest), Grand Loft Suites (two-level duplex suites with floor-to-ceiling windows), and Horizon Penthouse Suites (with oversized balconies). These new accommodation categories, designed by Studio DADO, showcase exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The ship has 14 decks, of which 12 are passenger-accessible and 8 have cabins.

Seven Seas Prestige cruises include unlimited shore excursions, gourmet dining (specialty and alfresco venues), premium beverages, Wi-Fi Internet, valet laundry service, onboard gratuities, and (for select cabin categories) a pre-cruise hotel package.

Shipboard facilities and amenities (ship review)

Among the ship's signature (fleet-first) and primary spaces are the Starlight Atrium and Galileo’s Bar, both drawing aesthetic inspiration from classical and Renaissance architectural elements and blending traditional motifs with contemporary styling.

Regent Seven Seas Prestige cruise ship

The two-deck Starlight Atrium (Decks 4 and 5) features a glass-enclosed ceiling allowing natural light during the day and celestial views at night. Traditionally for modern passenger ships, the Atrium serves as a grand transitional space positioned midship. It functions as a hub for essential guest services (housing the Reception, Tour Desk, and Cruise Director's Office) and offers direct access to numerous adjacent venues on both decks, including the Casino, Prestige Lounge, Meridian Lounge, and Coffee Connection. On the upper level (Deck 5) are ocean-facing alcoves furnished with sculptural seating, designed as quiet vantage points for observing sea views and sunsets.

Galileo’s Bar serves both the Prestige Lounge and the Casino. Its interior design features a ceiling treatment resembling a modern oil painting. Architecturally, it opens onto the Starlight Atrium via two grand spiral staircases (port and starboard).

Another fleet-first venue is the restaurant "Azure" (a casual mezze-style dining venue) serving classic Mediterranean dishes, including appetizers, entrees, main courses, and desserts. Azure introduces a shared-plate format reflecting the Mediterranean's communal dining traditions. The menu also includes North African and Western Asian traditional dishes. The Azure restaurant’s interior was developed by Studio DADO and AD Associates.

Regent Prestige ship dining venues include six reservation-only dinner restaurants and eleven complimentary venues. Specialty restaurants are Compass Rose (with a flexible nightly menu), Pacific Rim (Pan-Asian cuisine), Prime 7 (classic steakhouse), Chartreuse (French cuisine), La Veranda (buffet-style breakfasts and lunches), and Sette Mari at La Veranda (alfresco Italian dining). Casual venues include the Pool Grill (alfresco) and Coffee Connection (patisserie and beverage bar).

Traditional for RSSC is the complimentary 24-hour in-cabin dining option. All meals, beverages, and gratuities are included in the fares.

Onboard cooking classes are offered in the fleet's first specially dedicated Culinary Arts Kitchen. The teaching kitchen prepares dishes crafted with locally sourced ingredients.

Food-themed shore excursions are available through RSSC's Gourmet Explorer Tours. On these tours, passengers enjoy gourmet meals prepared by renowned local chefs, wine tastings at premium estates, and visits to local food markets.

On Regent's newest ship, the culinary experience is further enhanced by upgraded menus, redesigned specialty restaurants (seven in total), and new dishes, including plant-based options. Among these venues are Compass Rose (dinner-only restaurant), Prime 7 (steakhouse), Pacific Rim (Pan-Asian restaurant), and Sette Mari at La Veranda (Italian restaurant).

Decks 4 through 14 are interconnected via six elevators/passenger lifts.

Concierge-served and self-service laundry facilities (laundrettes) are located on cabin decks 7, 8, 9, and 10.

Follows the complete list of Seven Seas Prestige dining venues (restaurants and food bars) and entertainment venues (bars and lounges) by deck.

DECK 4 facilities (Wellness-Lounge-Casino-Shops)

(decks 4-5) STARLIGHT ATRIUM features a glass-enclosed ceiling allowing natural light during the day and celestial views at night. The Atrium was designed as a transitional space combining historical architectural grandeur with modern refinement. It serves as a hub for essential guest services and provides direct access to several adjacent venues on floors four and five - the Casino, Prestige Lounge, Meridian Lounge, and Coffee Connection. The upper level (Deck 5) houses ocean-facing alcoves furnished with sculptural seating.

(decks 4-5) CONSTELLATION THEATER is the ship's main show lounge for large-scale musical and theatrical productions. The evening program includes cabaret-style and acrobatic (cirque-style) performances, theatrical productions, and concert recitals. The venue hosts exclusive Regent Broadway-style shows performed by a cast of 12 singers and dancers accompanied by the ship's seven-piece orchestra. The Constellation Theater features tiered seating and Murano glass lamps. During the day, the Theater operates as Constellation Lounge, hosting enrichment lectures, cooking classes, media presentations, and itinerary-related talks.

CONNOISSEUR LOUNGE is the smoking lounge and cigar club featuring oversized leather armchairs, fine cigars, rare vintage cognacs, and curated works of art.

BOUTIQUE SHOP sells duty-free luxury items including jewelry, perfumes, gemstones, designer watches, fashion accessories, Regent-logo merchandise, souvenirs, and swimwear.

GALILEO'S BAR serves both the Prestige Lounge and the Casino. Its interior design features a ceiling resembling a modern oil painting and opens onto the Atrium via twin spiral staircases.

THE CASINO features slot machines and eight gaming tables (Blackjack, stud poker, mini-craps, roulette) and operates only while the ship is at sea.

PRESTIGE LOUNGE is a gathering place for pre-dinner cocktails accompanied by live music.

At the SERENE SPA & WELLNESS complex (managed by Canyon Ranch SpaClub, which provides certified personnel), luxury beauty products by Red Flower (a NYC-based wellness brand using organic and biodegradable skincare and cosmetics) are used. Many treatments are itinerary-inspired and use locally sourced ingredients. The complex includes nine treatment rooms, two saunas (including an infrared sauna), steam rooms, a cold room (54°F / 12°C), a thermal suite, multi-sensory showers, and a relaxation room. Also part of the complex are the Beauty Salon, Gym, and Aerobics Studio. The Spa's interior features a cocoon-inspired design, a central Swarovski crystal sculpture, silk-wrapped chrysalis elements, marble flooring, light-grained wood, and refined treatment spaces.

Note: On Seven Seas Prestige, Regent expanded its Spa offerings with new treatments and equipment, including a Quartz Crystal Healing Bed and a Zero Gravity Massage Table with eight adjustable positions for different muscle groups. New treatments include the 75-minute Hot Mineral Body Boost (for relieving muscular pain) and the Poultice-Powered Muscle Release (for aching muscles). Also new is the Tahitian Hydration Ritual (75 minutes), offered exclusively to guests staying in the Regent Suite and provided in the suite's private Spa.

FITNESS CENTER (open to guests aged 16 and over) is overseen by professional trainers who lead popular classes such as Pilates, yoga, aerobics, and meditation, and provide guidance on using the equipment. The fitness center features spinning bikes, dumbbells, treadmills, Technogym strength machines, workout mats, and step benches. Personal training sessions are also available.

DECK 5 facilities (Lobby-Dining)

The Lobby Hall houses the CONCIERGE & RECEPTION DESKS (24-hour assistance and purser services), the CRUISE SALES DESK (for booking RSSC future cruises), and the DESTINATION SERVICES DESK (for shore excursion reservations, hotel arrangements, transfers, and private land tours).

BUSINESS CENTER (equipped with desktop computers) provides guests with Internet access. Printing services are available for a nominal fee. Wi-Fi is available shipwide.

MERIDIAN LOUNGE (portside) is an entertainment venue featuring leather furniture, dark wood paneling, and blue carpeting. The lounge includes its own bar serving specialty cocktails, a parquet dance floor, and a circular stage where resident musicians perform during evening events. During the day, the Meridian Lounge hosts trivia games and Afternoon Tea service with freshly prepared delicacies.

COFFEE CONNECTION (starboard) is a specialty coffee bar and patisserie serving light refreshments and snacks. It also offers light breakfast options (cereals, fruits, pastries), light lunch selections (cold meats, cheeses, rolls, spreads), and afternoon snacks such as sandwiches, cookies, cakes, and fruit.

COMPASS ROSE is the MDR (Main Dining Room) offering open-seating breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu includes European Continental cuisine, vegetarian options, selections from the Spa menu, and specialty dishes inspired by Chartreuse Restaurant's French cuisine.

DECK 11 facilities (Wheelhouse-Restaurants)

The fore-located NAVIGATION BRIDGE (Wheelhouse), along with the Captain's Suite and officers' quarters, is inaccessible to passengers.

CHARTREUSE (aft portside) is RSSC's specialty restaurant serving French cuisine and premium cocktails, including the famous Green Chartreuse liqueur. The venue features floor-to-ceiling windows, mosaic-tiled floors, contemporary seating, leather banquettes for larger groups, and a bar area with granite-topped tables. The restaurant also displays premium French wines from renowned vineyards such as Champagne, Bordeaux, and Burgundy. Decorative elements include Eiffel Tower-themed iron sculptures and Art Nouveau styling. The rear section resembles an elegant dining room and garden-like alfresco terrace separated by a metal lattice.

PRIME 7 (starboard) is a reservations-only dinner restaurant specializing in American steakhouse cuisine with USDA Prime dry-aged beef. The interior features leather wingback chairs, polished wood finishes, and warm-toned fabrics. The menu includes classic starters such as crab cakes, steak tartare, and clam chowder, along with premium beef cuts (New York strip, porterhouse, filet mignon) and seafood options like applewood-smoked salmon and Dover sole.

THE STUDY (aft-midship) is a 12-seat VIP private dining venue reserved for guests staying in the ship's top-tier suites. The venue features marble floors, rare artworks, a replica fireplace, and shelves filled with artifacts. A long dining table is set with Bernardaud Or d’Azur porcelain, Riedel glassware, and ivory linen. Guests may choose between cocktail-style gatherings or formal dinners, with menus drawn from the adjacent restaurants (Prime 7 and Chartreuse) or customized by the Senior Executive Chef.

Deck 12 venues (Observation-Lido-Pools-Sundeck1)

OBSERVATION LOUNGE (forward-facing) offers 270-degree panoramic views during the day and hosts evening entertainment with live music and vocal performances. The lounge features floor-to-ceiling angled windows, comfortable seating, and full bar service.

CARD ROOM (portside) is an elegant, club-style space designed for games and social gatherings. Located near the Observation Lounge, it provides tables for card games, board games, and bridge tournaments organized in cooperation with the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL).

THE LIBRARY (portside) offers comfortable seating and a wide selection of books, DVDs, and board games.

CULINARY ARTS KITCHEN (starboard) is RSSC's teaching kitchen and cooking school featuring 18 individual cooking stations arranged in three rows. Each station includes a quartz countertop, induction cooktop, and stainless-steel sink. Classes focus on regional cuisines using locally sourced ingredients. The venue features floor-to-ceiling windows and offers themed classes such as seafood cooking, wine pairing, healthy cuisine, and dessert preparation.

POOL GRILL / POOL BAR serves beverages, snacks, and light meals on the pool deck, including alfresco breakfast and lunch. The SUNDECK surrounds a resort-style swimming pool and two large Jacuzzies/whirlpools and includes a designated smoking area (starboard).

LA VERANDA & SETTE MARI (aft) serves as the ship's buffet restaurant offering late breakfast and lunch, while in the evening it transforms into Sette Mari, an Italian restaurant with an a-la-carte menu and Italian wines. The outdoor terrace provides shaded alfresco seating, and the Destination Corner features regional dishes inspired by the current itinerary.

In June 2022, RSSC announced a new Italian menu to be rolled out fleetwide in 2024. The menu includes dishes such as Bruschetta al Pomodoro, Cavatelli ai Frutti di Mare, Zucchini alla Poverella, Insalata di Panzanella (inspired by the Masseria Salamina estate in Fasano), Cozze Gratinate al Forno, Branzino in Agrodolce, Pasticcini alle Mandorle (Sicilian almond pastries), Chef Nino's Cioppino, and Focaccia con Pomodorini.

Deck 14 venues (Sports-Sundeck2-Restaurants)

AZURE is a casual mezze-style restaurant serving Mediterranean dishes including appetizers, entrees, main courses, and desserts. The venue features a shared-plate dining concept inspired by Mediterranean culinary traditions. Azure's menu also includes North African and Western Asian specialties. The interior design was created by Studio DADO and AD Associates.

PACIFIC RIM is RSSC's Pan-Asian restaurant. The venue is reservation-only and open for dinner. Guests enter beneath a sculptural arch featuring a dramatic dragon installation. The design combines natural elements such as carved stone with sleek wooden architectural features and a bonsai tree centerpiece.

The aft SOLARA SPORTS DECK complex includes a Bocce Court, Paddle Tennis Court, Multi-Sports Court (volleyball, basketball, football), power walking/jogging track, putting green/mini-golf course, and shuffleboard.

Seven Seas Prestige is Regent's fourth ship (after Explorer, Splendor, and Grandeur) equipped with a Pickleball Court installed by Adventure Golf Services. The court is a dual-use facility designed for both pickleball and paddle tennis.

  • Pickleball is a racquet sport combining elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. It is played by two to four players using solid paddles to hit a perforated polymer ball over a net.
  • Adventure Golf Services also installed other facilities including the paddle tennis court, shuffleboard area, 18-hole putting green, GolfCourt hitting bay (golf driving range), and bocce court using patented interlocking panels manufactured in Traverse City, Michigan USA.
