MS Miguel Torga Review

Review of MS Miguel Torga

MS Miguel Torga cruises on the Douro River in Portugal’s wine region. All itineraries are roundtrips departing from the homeport of Oporto, Portugal. This riverboat operates alongside other CroisiEurope vessels sailing in Portugal, including Fernao De Magalhaes, Gil Eanes, Infante Don Henrique, Vasco de Gama, and her sistership Amalia Rodrigues.

Inaugurated in April 2017, Miguel Torga operates 8-day roundtrip itineraries from Oporto with calls at Vega de Terron/Salamanca, Ferradosa, Pinhao, and Regua.

This Premium-class, three-deck riverboat features contemporary interior design, a top-deck swimming pool, and 66 staterooms accommodating up to 132 passengers. The ship’s name honors “Miguel Torga,” the pseudonym of Adolfo Correia da Rocha (1907–1995), one of Portugal’s greatest 20th-century writers, known for his poetry, short stories, and 16-volume diary.
