Inaugurated in April 2017, Miguel Torga operates 8-day itineraries - roundtrip from Oporto, and stopping in Vega de Terron/Salamanca, Ferradosa, Pinhao and Regua.
This is a Premium-class, innovative, 3-deck riverboat. It features contemporary interior design, a top-deck pool and 66 staterooms that accommodate up to 132 passengers. The name "Miguel Torga" is the pseudonym of Adolfo Correia da Rocha (1907-1995), one of Portugal's greatest 20th-century writers. He was the author of short stories, poetry, and a 16-volume diary.
Cabins
All the 66 cabins on Miguel Torga are outside, and 58 are with French balconies. As standard are offered modern hotel amenities, including twin or double beds (with premium bedding and pillows), seating area (table with chairs), mirrored dressing table / writing desk with chair, wardrobe, en-suite bathroom (WC, shower, single-sink vanity, hairdryer), electronic safe box (in the closet), hairdryer, LCDTV (satellite reception), central heating (individual air-conditioning), 220V power outlets.
The 3-deck Miguel Torga ship can accommodate 132 passengers in a total of 66 double-occupancy cabins (58 with French balconies plus 4 suites). Both suites are aft on Upper Deck and with step-out terraces.
Shipboard facilities
Dining aboard CroisiEurope ships is always a gourmet pleasure as the "cruise food" is taken very seriously. Passengers soon become friends with their waiter and quickly come to admire the choices by Serge Dubs, world-renowned sommelier. Dinner is served at set times in a single sitting. Breakfast is buffet style and served in the restaurant. No formal nights are held onboard and the dress code is smart casual.
The ship has a bar lounge for live entertainment in the evenings and daily relaxation. Wi-Fi is available free of charge in the lobby and lounge areas. The sun deck offers 360-degree panoramic views and features a sunbathing area with a swimming pool. The pool is not heated and open during summer months only.
