ms Princesse d'Aquitaine Review
Review of ms Princesse d'Aquitaine
MS Princesse d’Aquitaine cruises on the Rhône, Dordogne, and Garonne rivers in France, departing from her homeport in Bordeaux. Itineraries also include the Gironde Estuary. Formerly known as “MS Rhône Princess,” the riverboat also operates on the Gironde River together with the CroisiEurope ship Cyrano de Bergerac.

Cabins
The riverboat has 69 passenger cabins (all identically sized at 140 ft² / 13 m²) in 5 categories, including 1 suite. Main Deck staterooms (42 doubles plus 1 suite) feature non-opening picture windows with river views. Upper Deck cabins (26 doubles) also have non-opening picture windows. The ship has no French balconies. Each cabin includes a private bathroom (WC, sink, shower cabin), satellite TV, radio, phone (internal calls only), hairdryer, personal safe, and individually controlled air-conditioning.
Shipboard facilities
Onboard amenities include a lounge (with bar and dance floor), a dining room restaurant, a Sun Deck with loungers and deckchairs, a gift shop, a library, complimentary bicycles, and Wi-Fi Internet access. CroisiEurope’s gourmet dining—combined with organised tours featuring regional food and wine tastings—allows guests to enjoy local cuisine along the cruise routes. The ship’s Dordogne and Garonne itineraries from Bordeaux are themed:
- “A Renowned Land of Plenty” – PAUILLAC – BLAYE – LIBOURNE – ST EMILION – CADILLAC
- “Nature’s Authentic Heritage” – LIBOURNE (BOURG) – ST EMILION – PAUILLAC – BLAYE
- “The Gironde Estuary and the Garonne River” – PAUILLAC – BLAYE – LIBOURNE (BOURG) – ST EMILION
- “The Heart of the Bordeaux Vineyards” – PAUILLAC – LIBOURNE – ST EMILION – CADILLAC
- “Three Mighty Rivers” – PAUILLAC – BLAYE – LIBOURNE – SAINT-EMILION – CADILLAC
Excursions offered along MS Princesse d’Aquitaine’s Bordeaux itineraries include:

MS Rhône Princess cruise prices are per person, based on double occupancy, and serve as indicative CroisiEurope France rates. Actual fares may vary depending on travel agency promotions, discounts, group bookings, or last-minute deals. CroisiEurope’s French river cruises include all beverages (coffee, tea, juices, soft drinks, wine, and beer at lunch and dinner). However, shore excursions are optional and cost extra.

ms Princesse d'Aquitaine Wiki
CroisiEurope is a family-owned company based in Strasbourg, France. Established in 1976, this premium passenger shipping line manages all aspects of its river cruisetours—from vessel design and construction to onboard cuisine and hotel services. CroisiEurope is among Europe’s largest river cruise operators.
CroisiEurope cruise deals include soft drinks and alcoholic beverages (wine and beer served with lunch and dinner year-round). During Europe’s high season (April through October), many itineraries also feature unlimited drinks. However, unlike most river cruise companies, CroisiEurope charges separately for shore excursions.
Note: You can view CruiseMapper’s full list of river cruise ships and riverboats in the “itinerary” section of our River Cruises hub, where all companies and their fleets are listed.
