Review of African Dream
CroisiEurope's African Dream cruise ship is the company's expansion into South Africa's river cruising market. The vessel is a houseboat-type riverboat operating on Chobe and Zambezi river cruises leaving roundtrip from Kasane Botswana.
Carrying just 16 passengers, with crew-to-passenger ratio 1:1, the African Dream houseboat has 8 outside-facing, top-luxury suites, each sized 17 m2 (183 ft2), plsu 2 same-sized balcony staterooms, each with a 3,5 m2 (38 ft2) veranda. All cabins are located on Lower Deck.
The Upper Deck has the ship's panoramic Bar Lounge, plus the rooftop patio (Sun Deck area) with swimming pool and sunloungers. The riverboat also has a panoramic restaurant and large observation deck.
In addition to guests from France, CroisiEurope's African cruises attract international travelers, so all of the ship's crew are bilingual. Onboard announcements and itinerary / tours information are in English. English-speaking local guides lead all shore excursions.
