MS Rossini Review
Review of MS Rossini
MS Rossini is a family-owned riverboat cruising along the Danube River. The ship operates 7-day itineraries with departures from homeports Passau (Germany) and Bratislava (Slovakia). The vessel (ENI number 05116760) was built in 1983 and initially named Danube Princess (Donauprinzessin). The boat is currently owned by Favorit Reisen GmbH and operated under charter by the German company Terra Lu Travel & Consult GmbH (travel agency).

Passengers may extend their German motor coach tours by adding a few days on a relaxing Danube River cruise. Whether part of a journey to Bavaria and the Alps in the south or to Luther sites in the north, sailing along the Danube enhances the overall travel experience.
MS Rossini offers renovated cabins with panoramic windows. A newly added lift provides easier movement around the ship. All staterooms are air-conditioned and equipped with a private bathroom, satellite TV and a safe. The ship features two lounges, each served by its own bar: the smaller lounge seats 50 guests, while the larger accommodates up to 180 passengers.

The vessel is very cozy, with most crew members maintaining long-term service aboard. A resident doctor is present on every voyage. The afternoon cake served during “Kaffeetrinken” is freshly prepared by the ship’s pastry chef. Excursions are offered by bus and by bicycles, which are available for optional use and provide more opportunities for touring ashore. A small swimming pool, bar, restaurant and sun loungers on deck ensure a relaxing onboard experience. Five meals are served per day, including the afternoon Kaffeetrinken and a midnight snack.
