MS Primadonna Review
Review of MS Primadonna
MS Primadonna is a luxurious Austrian river cruise ship built in 1998 and fully remodeled in 2009. This large vessel features a double-hull (catamaran) design, a 160-seat onboard theater (Primo Teatro), a glass-floor lobby offering a view into the river below, a unique Danube Arena with a 9-meter-high glass wall overlooking the passing landscape, a 60-meter Atrium (Prima Vista), the Primavera panorama bar, the Primo Gusto panoramic restaurant, and a spacious Sun Deck with jacuzzi and spa area.
The ship sails exclusively on the Danube River, operating regular itineraries along the Passau–Bratislava–Budapest route.

Cabins
MS Primadonna has 78 outside cabins, all featuring individually adjustable air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, hairdryer, shower and WC, spacious wardrobes, and a mini-bar. Main Deck cabins are approx. 12 m² and have non-opening portholes. The larger staterooms on the Promenade and Upper Decks measure 16 m² and feature verandas with bench seating. Depending on the cabin category, beds are configured as twin or bunk beds. Beds on the Promenade and Upper Decks can be easily pushed together to form doubles.
Shipboard dining and entertainment
Dining aboard MS Primadonna includes international cuisine and specialties from the Danube region, with a focus on Viennese dishes prepared with organic ingredients. Breakfast is served buffet-style with an organic food corner. Lunch includes a 3-course à-la-carte menu or a packed lunch for cyclists. Dinner features a 4-course à-la-carte menu, and once per week a gala buffet is held. In the late afternoon, coffee or tea with cake is served, and late in the evening guests can enjoy the “Primadonna Snack Bar.”
