MS Primadonna Review
Review of MS Primadonna
MS Primadonna is a luxurious Austrian river cruise ship built in 1998 and fully remodelled in 2009. This large boat features a double hull (catamaran) design), onboard theater (Primo Teatro, 160 seats), a glass floor in the lobby (reception area) giving an open view to the underwater world, unique Danube arena (with 9-meter high glass wall and unlimited view of river's landscape), 60-meter long Atrium (Prima Vista, in the lobby area), Primavera (panorama bar), Primo Gusto (panoramic restaurant), huge Sun Deck (with jacuzzi and spa area).
The ship cruises on Danube River exclusively, with regularly scheduled itineraries on the route Passau-Bratislava-Budapest.
Cabins
All 78 cabins on ms Primadonna are outside, with individually adjustable air conditioning, satellite television, telephone, hairdryer, shower and toilet, spacious wardrobes and mini-bar. The main deck cabins are around 12m2 and are equipped with an unopenable porthole. The spacious staterooms on the promenade and upper decks measure 16m2 and are equipped with a veranda with bench seat. All beds are either twin or bunks beds depending on the selected type of cabin. Beds on the promenade and upper deck are easily pushed together into a double bed.

The meals onboard Primadonna consist of international cuisine with specialities of the countries along the Danube, especially Viennese cuisine, prepared with organic ingredients. There is an American breakfast buffet in the morning, with an organic food corner. For lunch, there is a 3-course, a la carte menu, as well as a packed lunch for cyclers. A 4-course a la carte menu is offered in the evening, and once a week there is a gala buffet. In the late afternoon, coffee or tea and cake is offered.
